Ladies are all fierce and fabulous—even on days when we’re rockin’ yoga pants and our hair is in a bun. The warrior is always within. Well, put that warrior on display with the latest collab between Disney and Ruthie Davis—The Mulan Warrior Collection. This collection of footwear embodies the fearless, inner strength of the film's protagonist. "Mulan is my personal favorite Disney character because she is a warrior heroine with a strong sense of honor and spirit. I am inspired by her courage, perseverance and drive. She is a force to be reckoned with and this collection reflects that," said Ruthie Davis, founder. "These sporty, edgy styles armor up women to feel confident as they head out each day to fight for their beliefs and goals." We’ll be battling ourselves just trying to stand upright with the first two pairs. The boots and sneaks—we could rock those—if we had the cash. The lowest price shoe is $398. Our inner warrior just said she’d kick our ass if we dropped that kind of money, so… Back-to-school is, well, back. If you’re a parent, you surely spent way too many frazzled hours getting supplies and clothing together. Why can’t you go back to school? At least when it comes to fashion… Sarto by Franco Sarto’s Duncan Loafer will remind your of school days. Some celebrity wore these loafers with dark denim jeans and some slutty top. Guess she was going for a “bad girl school girl look.” Priced at $104.99 you may need a “loafer daddy” to pay for these. Or you could go to our second home, DSW, and score this from Franco Sarto (you know, designs for commoners.) Like what you read here? And to celebrate the quintessential high school drama of the 90s, designer Ritch Erani NYFC has whipped up quite the shoe collection. Ritch Erani designed the collection based on the three main characters: Kathryn, Annette, and Cecile. Kathryn is a sexy and dangerous heel with the iconic rosary necklace wrapped around the top closure of the shoe. The word “bitch” is smudged across the strap of the left shoe. Annette is a good-girl, cute shoe. Soft and sweet. The bows mimic Annette’s pig tails and innocence. The Cecile is the classic loafer-wearing schoolgirl too young to be playing with fire. Prices range from $450 to $495. Apparently, you’ll need rich-bitch money for these shoes. Or you’ll need to become a prostitute to afford them, which is what some of the characters in Cruel Intentions would do if they needed to, so… Like what you read here? Just when you thought Crocs couldn’t get more ridiculous (because their mere existence is ridiculous)—they have. Crocs teamed up with Japanese company Beams to create: Crocs with fanny packs. That’s a one-two bad fashion punch. And they’re just $54 a pair! What is the deal with plastic shoes?!? People swear they’re comfortable, but all we can imagine is sweaty, slippery, stanky feet. Guess the fanny packs will come in handy to hold some fungus cream… #HardPass Like what you read here? Forget Labor Day. Wear white clothing and accessories any time the mood strikes! Personally, we aren’t fans of the color white. Because we’re slobs. Anything white we’d wear will instantly attract some kind of stain. Guaranteed.
But, we do like these white boots from Chinese Laundry. The Radiant Bootie in cloud retails for $89.99. Not bad for “fashion”. The reason we like ‘em? They look like a short Go-go boot. Don’t know what a Go-go boot is? Look at the above picture, but imagine them coming up to just under the knee. You’ve seen ‘em—especially in costume shops since they’re not en vogue currently. We view these Chinese Laundry boots as an option for someone who wants the Go-go glam and glitter without the “hoe” label. |
