Yes, you may be wondering what in the af we’re talking about. We’re talking about some new snacking options (as if we don’t have a gajillion already.) Pringles has partnered exclusively with 7-Eleven to offer hungry patrons a Fried Onion Ring flavor. The onion thang ain't new to Pringles. They released a Crispy Onion Ring flavor in Canada. Guess they knew we fat-ass Americans have no problem with the word “fried” in the title of any food. Then, you can knock that onion breath right out of your mouth with Sweet Cinnamon Mini Kit Kats. Cinnamon is supposedly the “flavor trend” of Christmas 2019. Cool, we suppose. Anything’s better than pumpkin spice. Yes, we said it. And we’re proud of it. Standard cream cheese has a challenger—goat cream cheese. Belle Chevre says theirs is “the better cream cheese” with 2.5 times more protein and less fat than regular cream cheese. And, it’s just as creamy, tasty and spreadable. While, that's all well and good-- we're not eating cream cheese for it's health benefits... Plus, isn’t goat cheese, in general, a stronger cheese? Perhaps we need to conduct a taste test… We’ve always been confused by Oktoberfest. Not at what occurs during such a celebration, but that something called “Oktober” happens in September. Needless to say, the food and libations are fabulous. So is the lederhosen. And this… Oktoberfest Beer Shooters Ingredients/Materials: Store-Bought Lemon Gelatin Water Pilsner Beer (or any flavor beer of your choice!) Heavy Whipping Cream 1 Tbsp. Sugar 1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract Mini beer mugs Directions: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 gelatin pack. Stir until dissolved. Add 2 cups of cold water. Stir again. Pour gelatin into steins. Freeze for 1-2 hours. In a separate bowl, combine heavy whipping cream, sugar, vanilla extract and beer foam. Mix until whipped. Top gelatin with whipped cream and serve! *recipe courtesy of evite There’s no pumpkin hate here. But we don’t appreciate pumpkin being thrown in our faces before Labor Day. Now that the “unofficial end of summer” has happened, commence pumpkin everything. Krispy Kreme has done it right and refrained from incurring our wrath by unveiling the return of its Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Doughnut on September 2nd. But they’ve got another pumpkin surprise under that doughy sleeve: The Pumpkin Spice Original Filled Doughnut. Good lort. Filled with cream cheese. We’re pretty certain if you were to cut us open, we’d bleed cream cheese… But you can only snag these seasonal treats through September 8th. Guess we’ll be wearing sweatpants and stuffing our faces with as much as we can get... |
