We’re raising our hand, ashamed at our utter un-coolness over not knowing what in the af Zentangle is. So, we looked that shizz up online: According to Zentangle.com, which we assume is the authority of Zentangle-y things: “The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns… These simple shapes are the ‘Elemental Strokes’ in all Zentangle art. These patterns are drawn on small pieces of paper called ‘tiles’.” Well, all-righty! Now that we know what it is, we feel like we could become zen Zentangle-ists. Actually, you’ll have a better chance at –ist achievement because our art skills are… sketch. Like, we-hope-to-stay-inside-the-lines-while-coloring sketch. But this dude, Brian Crimmins is da bomb. He’s a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT), coach, and speaker. And… he has a new book due next month: Zentangle Dingbatz: Patterns & Projects for Dynamic Tangled Ornaments & Decorations. The book includes a variety of projects that will allow you to practice using Dingbatz not only as stand-alone designs, but also as accents and enhancements to other art projects. Snag the book and impress yourself and others... Mostly yourself. Comments are closed.
