We’re tired of children having everything cool. We grown-ups need it more than they do, because we have to deal with a lot of real-life stuff. What do kids have to worry about? Stay inside the lines; learn your lessons; eat a veggie. Pfft.
Having to sell a kidney to pay the mortgage and the utilities, that’s real stuff. Not that we’ve had to do that, but you get our drift.
