We’re tired of children having everything cool. We grown-ups need it more than they do, because we have to deal with a lot of real-life stuff. What do kids have to worry about? Stay inside the lines; learn your lessons; eat a veggie. Pfft. Having to sell a kidney to pay the mortgage and the utilities, that’s real stuff. Not that we’ve had to do that, but you get our drift. Thank you, meditation app named Calm. Now we adults have bedtime stories. Yay! Phoebe Smith is the world’s leading ‘extreme sleep adventurer’. She really sleeps atop mountains, inside tree-trunks, and glaciers! This adventurer/writer has been appointed the world’s first “Sleep Storyteller-in-Residence” by Calm. That’s friggin’ cool. “It’s a totally different kind of writing to anything I’ve ever done. And that’s why I like it. With most kinds of writing I’m trying to build the tension – but here I’m doing the opposite. Anything exciting needs to go right at the start and then it’s all about winding people down, while also encouraging their imagination to play,” said Smith—dubbed the JK Rowling of Slow Literature. Sleep Stories are sleep-inducing audio tales which mix words, music, mindfulness and sound effects to help adults fall asleep. So… wonderful… zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Comments are closed.
