Video game addiction is characterized by “a pattern of persistent or recurrent gaming behavior” that “takes precedence over other life interests.” Experts say only a small fraction of gamers will develop “gaming disorder”, but there have been reports of people who have played for 20 hours straight, missing meals, not sleeping, skipping work and school, and checking out of other typical activities. But we wonder if we develop this illness if that means we don’t have to work anymore… Comments are closed.
