Since we’re on an Apple Music groove (Get it? Music? Groove? Indulge our silliness, please.)… let’s roll with it. Sometimes, we feel so uncool. Like, we don’t know what’s hip and what’s going on. In our defense, there is a lot of a lot going on. For instance, who knew Apple Music has a program called Up Next which is the platform’s initiative geared towards identifying, showcasing, and elevating rising talent? It’s been around for three years. We do live under a rock! Singer-songwriter Clairo is September’s love child. As artist of the month, she gets a cool interview showcasing her awesomeness. Guess this honor is a game-changer. She’ll be appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in partnership with Apple’s Up Next program. But we’re distracted. We want to call her Clairol, like the hair products. The uber-popular artist made a playlist for Apple Music called “Playlist by ME!” So what’s her playlist all about? "'Maybe a hundred bad days made a hundred good stories, a hundred good stories make me interesting at parties' - the lyrics of AJR's '100 Bad Days' pretty much sum it up. Everything that happens to us is just part of a story we'll tell someday. These songs are the soundtrack to my story at the moment. I love this playlist for kitchen dance parties, long drives home, sun-soaked reflection, or aggressive bopping. All songs have been loved and appreciated by ME!" Apple Music subscribers can see what she’s listening to, and create their own ME! playlist. Like what you read here?
