The internet is such a useful resource. Or one for drama and panic. Be honest. Have you ever Googled your symptoms first, before seeking the counsel of a pro?
We, and 89% of people surveyed say they’ve Googled. Of course, this could lead you down the rabbit hole of thinking you’re dying of some horrible condition. That’s why it’s best to see a doctor for a proper diagnosis.
Eligibility.com also discovered these Googled factoids:
Idaho is curious about E.coli symptoms.
Utah is all about morning sickness.
Vermont residents are curious about sniffles.
See what your state is Goggling the most. And if you’re guilty…
Why, oh, why must things sag, droop, and change as we age!?!?
Even our eyebrows can become our “arch enemy”. Sigh.
Work dem brows and work wonders on your face without the need for plastic surgery. Umbreen Sheikh is the founder and CEO of Wink Brow Bar/Salon in NYC and London and knows the face game. She has some tips on how to "do brow" for maximum results.
The shape of your brows plays a big part in the appearance of your overall look. You can appear younger by having a fuller brow. Thin brows typically age the face, so opt for fuller brow shapes and use makeup to make the brows appear fuller.”
Threading is the easiest way to shape your brows by a professional. They will help determine the best shape for your face and also make your brows defined and crisp. Threading is the best way to do your brows if you have sensitive skin or allergies to waxing products. Threading is also fast, so you will be in and out of your appointment in no time.
If you have naturally thinner brows with less hair, consider filling in your brows to create a fuller look. Pencil is a better choice over other makeup such as pomades or waxes because pencil looks very natural and you can achieve a precise shape to the brow. Make sure to keep the pencil tip sharpened so that you can have complete control over your application.
Take the Tweezers out of your Hands
We’re all guilty of doing this at times. We’ll try to get the perfect arch and end up with eyebrows that are way too thin. The best thing to do is to hide your tweezers and leave the plucking to the professionals. It’s hard to do especially in-between salon appointments, but your brows will thank you in the end.
The eyebrow makeup color should match your brows and not the hair on your head. Matching the makeup color to your existing brow hairs will keep a youthful appearance. Don’t go too dark in color for the brows because darker colors will age you if you don’t have naturally dark brown hair.
Another trick to use for your brows to help you appear younger is to highlight them. Use a lighter colored pencil or eyeshadow that’s ivory or beige to highlight the arch of your brow. This will make your brow appear lifted for a younger look. Also consider highlighting on top of the brow arch to further define the arch shape.
When Brow “Tails Fade at the Edges
Brows naturally thin at the outer edges (by your temples) first, but fading can also be the result of overplucking. Lengthen your brow tails with a pencil.
If your brow hairs are long in some spots, try to trim them with brow scissors. Trimming the brows will further enhance the shape and keep the brow hairs looking groomed and in place for a youthful appearance.
Threading is best for your brows, not waxing. A lot of people make a mistake with waxing. You shouldn’t be stripping your skin so close to the eyebrow with wax. It can make your skin soften earlier and make your skin wrinkle sooner.
Brush Out Your Brows
Just brushing your brows changes the shape and stimulates growth. There’s [nothing] more stimulating than brushing your brows.
If you have sparse or thin brow hairs, consider using a lash serum to help grow more hair for a fuller and younger style. All-natural castor oil or protein packed serums sold in stores can help strengthen your eyebrow hair. It may take a few months of daily application, but the results will be worth it. Stronger & fuller brow hairs mean less time filling in the brows with makeup for a fuller look!

Apparently, your employer gives zero effs about your health. As long as you show up to get the job done, who cares if you consider two donuts a solid breakfast choice? And as for exercise? Walking to the boss’ office to smooch his backside is plenty of a calorie burn.
Zeamo is a global fitness company that decided to survey 5,000 people about fitness attitudes in the workplace. Some of the highlights (actually, lowlights):
Over 2/3 of respondents said their employers are not providing them with fitness benefits.
Over half said their employer makes it difficult for them to get a workout in during a week.
Two out of every five employees believe that their employer is responsible for their health.
72% of respondents would leave their job for one with better perks.
That’s not good!
Perhaps doing jumping jacks or yoga during that boring staff meeting will change things. No one wants to see that mess…
Self-care is not a new concept, but it is the new buzzy thing. Our overall physical and mental health could benefit greatly from self-focus. The next step—finding which routine is best for yourself. Why not turn to the stars?
Astrologer Constance Stellas has penned new books matching self-care to the 12 Zodiac signs.
The Little Book of Self-Care offers more than 100 relaxing and rejuvenating self-care ideas tailored to your sign.
Aquarians will enjoy suggestions that focus on their imaginative personalities and the fact that the sign rules over the ankles (examples include curling up with a good book, leg-stretching yoga poses).
As a water sign with an artistic and intuitive personality, a Pisces will enjoy listening to a favorite playlist and creating a personal altar.
The self-care suggestions for Cancer will focus on their empathetic personalities and the fact that the sign rules over the hands (examples include reading poetry, getting a past life reading).
An air sign with balanced and social personalities, Libras will find relaxation touring a museum with a friend and with prompts for opening up their living space.

This brings a whole new meaning to: “What’s Your Sign?”
We’ve come to the conclusion that basically everything is going to kill us. Things that are good for us; things that are bad for us. It doesn’t matter.
So many people are freaking out over the FDA’s new study showing that several chemicals found in sunscreen enter the bloodstream at high levels in as little as one day. And to add another kick to the junk, daily use of sunscreen can cause some ingredients to remain in the body even after discontinuing use.
Experts agree that wearing sunscreen is still the best line of defense against UV damage.
But perhaps you’re divorcing sunscreen, but obviously don’t want the burn. HydroChic offers a unique line of figure-flattering Smart Swimwear for women and girls who want to feel confident without sacrificing comfort or modesty. Mix-and-match leggings, skorts, capris, tunics, tanks, and more…
Plus, the clothing is made with top quality fabric with a UPF rating of 50—the industry’s highest level of UV protection.
We appreciate the details like hidden zippered pockets, cool prints, breathability and two-stretch perfect fit fabric.
And the prices aren’t bad either, ranging from $29.50 to $95.
Take that, evil rays!
Panic and anxiety attacks are no joke. And they’re nothing to be ashamed of. The good thing about social media is that there is an open dialogue about these things—which means you are not alone.
And in this day of technology—there’s an app for that! Not for getting an attack, duh. But for handling an attack.
Rootd offers lessons on understanding panic attacks and anxiety. The app’s therapist-approved features include a panic button for when you’re experiencing a panic attack.
“Anxiety and panic attacks can be terrifying and defeating. Once I found the resources that helped me manage and overcome them, I knew I had to package that knowledge together with my design skills to create something easily digestible and accessible to help others who were suffering from anxiety and panic attacks,” said Ania Wysocka, founder and creator of Rootd.
Rootd encourages users to tackle short-term and long-term goals with helpful tips. Other features include a deep-breathing tool, a body scan tool, guided visualizations, and soothing nature sounds.
Available for in the App Store and in Google Play.
See. We're not always Crack Wise-ing...
If you’re thinking that ties and rounds of golf are cliché gifts for Father’s Day, and you want to be a helpful child to your snoring dear-ol’-dad, then gift him with SomniFix Mouth Strips.
* Because duct tape is inappropriate.
These strips are a “gentle, easy-release adhesive that comfortably reduces snoring, while also being clinically proven to non-invasively improve breathing and sleep quality.”
The mouth strips were created by a doctor dad and his son—who is a “snoring champion”.
Hopefully, your father won’t think you’re being shady when you present these to him. But we think it’d be funny if he’d slap you on the back of the neck for getting him a “practical” gift.
Crack Wise-ing: These things make dad look like a Kardashian or Jenner.
