The Swedish are known for ABBA, Ikea, and meatballs. And perhaps, Molly Hammar. Her new single “No Place Like Me” featuring Big Narstie is a blend of percussive beats, Big Narstie’s rap, and some sensual vocals.
“No Place Like Me marks the place I’m at in my life right now, being able to truly be free and focus on what makes me feel good. I’m 23, single, and loving life,” said Molly. “Having Big Narstie join me on this single is a dream come true. I was so happy when he agreed to guest, it couldn’t be a better fit.”
The song is… odd. What keeps us interested is Molly’s voice: smoky and intriguing. We could do without Big Narstie. And what exactly is a “narstie”? Is that like “nasty” but nastier?
We do think her boots are cool. Apparently you don’t need pants when you have boots this high up on your leg. That’s a plus. Saves on laundry.
