It’s addicting. And there is nothing wrong with this type of addiction. Emily’s love for average folk inspired this song. “I wanted to write a tribute to the everyday person.” Emily says, “A song to the ones who find a reason to smile even when they’re down.” We can easily see ourselves putting this one on repeat, happily. Just booty-shakin’. Sometimes, we just need mindless. Like reality TV. And, we dig the throwback vibe. LuQa is influenced by Michael Jackson, Lionel Riche, and Boyz II Men. You can hear that peppered throughout this track. Italian-born, MotoGP racing, and edgy music maker. That about sums him up. LuQa is currently in the studio finishing his album, Unleashed. Meanwhile, we’ll just keep sweating… Like what you read here? Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That last part is not a guarantee. Over the course of a lifetime, it may feel like everything and everyone is against you. And that no one understands how you feel. But, you are not alone. Grammy award-winning duo for King & Country addresses that commonality in “God Only Knows”. We can’t really describe the magnitude of this song. Just listen for yourself. Powerful. Inspirational. There are days we just need this. Like what you read here? There’s nothing worse in a relationship than when your partner doesn’t see you. Doesn’t know you exist. You get mad at that person. You get mad at yourself. What to do? That’s the burning question from Anna Clendening’s “Invisible”. The track is a nice groove paired with her easy, full vocals. It’s bittersweet and catchy. Thank goodness this song doesn’t hurt like the subject matter does. Like what you read here? There are times when we need to just ease into the day. Maybe Mondays are rough for you. Or perhaps, you over-indulged in the anti-oxidant benefits of “the grape”. Whatever the reason, a nice instrumental selection could be the panacea you’ve been listening for. American composer, pianist, and producer Christopher James has released his latest album, Grace from Persistence. The title was inspired by a film James watched about the Native American’s belief about the Saguaro cactus. “Each of these Saguaros is considered to be a unique individual, surviving on its own despite nature’s extremes,” said James. “The Saguaro cactus’ state of grace is achieved through indefatiguable determination to defy all odds through persistence, if you will – and the existence of this physical and spiritual icon serves as a metaphor for our word. The deluge of assaults on humanity and nature is unending, but our resoluteness to survive as a human race must not be diminished or compromised.” Deep. Like what you read here? Queen has never been more popular. The band’s music has always stayed top-of-mind thanks to its infusion into pop culture, whether TV commercials, or movies like “Wayne’s World.” WE WILL ROCK YOU—the musical inspired by Queen—has grown since its debut in 2002. A revamp of the stage production has made it more venue-friendly. “Annerin is proud to be able to produce WE WILL ROCK YOU, and we are obviously lucky with our timing,” says Jeff Parry, President Annerin Theatricals. “This is a show I have wanted to produce since I first saw it in London. My vision was to be able to produce it in such a way that it plays in soft-seaters as well as cut-down arenas. I thought that Queen’s musical was for everyone and not just the typical Broadway crowd, therefore we’re producing it in a way that can accommodate most buildings and audiences that want to experience the music of Queen in a uniquely theatrical manner.” WE WILL ROCK YOU is “a quirky, eccentric and heartfelt story of outsiders. It’s also a creative cautionary tale for the cyber age.” A North American tour will commence September 3rd in Winnipeg. Tickets are on sale now. "Party on, Wayne. Party on, Garth." If you want to know what Suzi’s all about, this is her bio: “Somewhere between embryotic and psychotic.” So. Many. Inappropriate. Thoughts. Resist. And apparently, she licks molded Jell-O. Why not? Anywho, her latest track “Highway” plays off that old familiar saying: “My way or the highway.” And from the looks of her music video and catchiness of this tune, her way sounds like a whole bunch of fun. Which might require penicillin. We already feel a no-sh&t-takin’-attitude coming over us. "Y'all better step off!" Pardon us. We got Suzi-ed. Like what you read here? My, how the times have changed. Social media has changed life. Whether for the better or not is highly contested. We live in a world where you can become “internet famous”. Perhaps this is why we’ve not heard of Luke Holland. He’s a “famous” YouTube drummer. He’s got the lineage, though. His dad is a pro drummer. Cool. But we’re uncool cuz we didn’t know who he was. Well, now we do. He offers his stick abilities for a cover of “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by The Evening. We’re not usually fans of covers/remakes, because they tend to suck. Yes, that’s the official term. Tears for Fears made the song a hit in the 80s. What we like about the original is its gritty, yet dream-like nature. The Evening, consisting of producer/instrumentalist Taylor Larson and vocalist Kinnie Lane, wanted to brighten-up the track. Fortunately, the track is still gritty where it needs to be. The vocals are, indeed, sunny. But slightly annoying, too. We still give this track a thumbs up, because after a glass or two of wine—it’s going to sound just fine. Just like our singing in the shower. Like what you read here?
