The Pegasus World Cup Championship Invitational Series will offer the richest prize in North American Thoroughbred racing with a $16 million purse split between two Grade 1 stakes races. The Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (G1), to be run on the turf at 1 3/16 miles, will offer a $7 million purse with $3 million awaiting the winner. The Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1), contested at 1 1/8 mile on the dirt, will offer a $9 million purse with a $4 million prize awarded to the winner of the twelve-horse field.
