We wonder what it’s like working for an adult toy company. Do you get sick of happy fun time because you’re surrounded by it? Or, are you a happy puddle because… you’re surrounded by it!
Wonder no more. Five longtime Adam & Eve employees have launched a rocket, er, podcast.
“We really wanted to throw back the curtain on what it’s like to live in small town America and work at the nation’s largest adult toy retail operation,” said Joe, one of the podcasters. “So many people have preconceived notions of what we do and who we are… we thought it would be fun and interesting to share our experiences and ideas about both Adam & Eve and the industry.”
The podcast will expose a side of the adult industry that we lay (d) peeps don’t get to see.
“Our plan is to have some employees from our Call Center, other departments and guests from all walks of life come on to tell about their experiences, too,” said podcaster Neal.
Each show will feature conversation related to the nekkid time, interesting news stories, toy and product discussion and a quiz (?) or a reading. Like, a dramatic reading? Yessss!
If you’d like to virtually reach out and touch the show, email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
The Adam & Eve podcast is available on iTunes, iHeart Radio, Spotify, Google Play Music and more… They sure get around. Sluts.
Hygge is new to Americans. No, it’s not a Greek yogurt or fad exercise. Hygge is Danish for “coziness.”
We like the concept of a snuggle buddy, warm blanket, a raging… fire. And stuffing our faces with every casserole imaginable. But, the American Diabetes Association wants us to slow our roll on the (cinnamon) rolls.
“Comfort foods are very hygge,” said Howard Rosenthal, chief food officer and spokesperson for Mr. Food Test Kitchen’s Guilt-Free Comfort Favorites. “Yet when they’re traditionally prepared, these foods aren’t always good for you. That can be a problem if you’re one of the 30 million people in the U.S. with diabetes.”
Don’t rain on our fatty parade! But, Rosenthal ensures we can have our comfort foods and eat them too—just make them more healthful.
Choose one of the 130+ reimagined comfort food dishes from the cookbook and dine without guilt. Hygge-tastic!
Here are some ways to get hygge:
Light candles at the dinner table, or wherever
Set your table for every meal
Get together with family and friends
Enjoy a hot drink
Cozy up to a good book or TV show
Wrap up in a fluffy blanket
Take a long, relaxing nature walk
FYI: Hygge is pronounced “hoo-gah”. It’s way better for you than “hookah.” Now you can impress everyone in your circle with this uber-trendy knowledge. Or look like a complete ween. Whatever your goals are.
We don’t usually fall into the easy trap of raggin’ on Millennials. We were all at one time young and idealistic and a touch stupid, and it’s unfair to cast such a wide net over the younger generation. There are assh&les in every generation, and non-sterotypical peeps in every generation. No?
But in this case, we’re going to make an exception.
Research from Arizona State University shows that 25% of millennials have PTSD from the 2016 election. In fact, around the time of the inauguration-- students' average stress score was on par with those who witnessed a school shooting.
What frustrates us about this particular younger generation is the lack of brain power. The internet and social media have made people lazy and dumb.
“I read it on the internet, so it must be true.”
There’s no longer any fact-checking; vetting sources; independent thought. Or—knowledge on how our government actually works.
While we’re on a roll, here are some things millennials have ruined:
Oh, and you’ve ruined snowflakes...
Now go cry in your avocado toast.
We treat our fur babies like real, human babies; like members of the family; and pet owners would probably confess that they love their little fur ball more than their human companions.
That’s why we’re not totally surprised that more and more people cook for their pets. If we’re turning to a more holistic lifestyle, then why wouldn't we want that goodness for our four-legged bffs?

We’re done with the pet puns.
We are a lot of things—goofy, twisted, informed, well-rounded. We know you are, too. This would make a perfect coffee table book, or a gift for your favorite music lover.
Leonard Bernstein 100: The Masters Photograph the Maestro by Steve J. Sherman with Jamie Bernstein is a beautiful collection of 100 iconic images of one of the greatest conductors, composers, musical inspirations, and creative minds of our time. Bernstein was known for his extreme passion, raw charisma, and powerful convictions.
Curator and photographer Steve J. Sherman partnered with Leonard’s eldest daughter, Jamie, to tell Bernstein’s life through photos, handwritten music sketches, letters, speeches and poems.
Feels like our IQ just went up. Way up.
Can’t wait for the New Year to get here. Why? This:
The iconic Aussie Firefighters calendar 2019 is on its way. All things Aussie firefighter has spread like a wildfire (yes, prepare yourselves for a lot of puns in this story), and now—they’re looking for international flavor.
Firemen from around the world will convene on the Gold Coast, Australia in April 2019 for the inaugural “International Firefighters Calendar.”
World peace (piece) of abs (or ass). We can support this.
“With the explosion of worldwide interest in the calendar, it only made sense for us to invite the hottest firefighters from around the globe… to be a part of the world’s very first International Firefighters Calendar,” said David Rogers, Director of the Australian Firefighters Calendar.
That means funds from calendar sales will now be donated to animal charities in those participating countries. Even better.
If this weren’t enough hotness for you, imagine Aussie firefighters and cute, adorable animals.
Firefighters and pussy cats. Yes, yes, yes!
Firefighters and puppies. Look! It’s a threesome!
Australian Firefighters Calendar (all versions of them) raise funds for Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, for Children’s Hospital Foundation in Queensland, and several other charities.
Hunks with hearts. Sigh…
Let’s make an “us in the middle” sandwich. Delicious! Drool over some more pics on Facebook and Instagram.
FYI: many, many horrible pickup lines come to mind:
“There’s a 3 alarm fire in my pants. Not the kind that requires penicillin…”
“Nice hose. Want to put out my fire?”
“Can I slide down the pole?”
Excuse us for a moment. We need a nice, stiff… drink.
Fashionable quenching. That’s what we’re calling this line of shatterproof water bottles by Glasstic.
As the weather turns cooler, we tend to forget the need to hydrate. It truly is a need. Our bodies need the water—without the leaching of that nasty BPA or equally-foul phthalates from plastic bottles.
Glasstic bottles are glass on the inside (where the beverage is), which means no plastic is tainting your precious liquid. On the outside, there’s a special coating that prevents breaking. If the glass does break, it stays inside the shatterproof shell. That’s fantastic, because we’re klutzy. If we didn’t have a super-strong iPhone condom, we would’ve broken it when we first got it.
Added bonus: you can personalize your Glasstic bottle with insert packs, including your own color design.
We appreciate an incentive to drink more water. Plus, we want to look good drinking... anything.

Oh. We were all excited because we thought former Creed frontman Scott Stapp had found a new gig. Oops.
Creed II, the movie, hits theaters on Thanksgiving (11/21/18) and stars Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, and Tessa Thompson.
Read aloud in your dramatic movie trailer voice:
Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family's past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what's worth fighting for, and discover that nothing's more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can't escape your history.
Here’s the official trailer:
Rumor has it this will be the last time Sly stars in a Rocky anthology film. Boo.
If you see Stapp, by the way, slip him a couple of dollars so he can see a Creed that won’t make him insanely bitter and jealous.
